Just finished the Everyday Ethics for my work! Yea! Really interesting! For alot about procedures and ethics, and how to use them, especially when a difficult issue arises!

23 things summary

I know alot has been blogged, but on some of my others not sure, soooooo will do a quick summary on some that I'm not sure got blogged. Lesson 7 and 8: What a great time, the cloud computing was the best of the two. I had a few issues with 7 and my computer decided to try to do the hiccup thing, but did get it acomplished! And week 9 was fun, and use it alot! The break at week 11 was a true blessing, and from there on I think you know the rest! Wikis was a neat experience too, but at the final step got a little shakey, this darn sytem of mine, but at least I got the Wikipedia done, and will continue on the end after we go to the shop!!!!!!!!!!! Special to all that helped with 23 things! Wow, what a dream team!!!!!!!!!!! WTG!!!!!!!!!!!!!Yea! Mission acomplished!

This was the most exciting ever! There was moments with my computer ohhhh the fits, but in the end I won out!!! LOL I learned so much, now when does the next ones start? lol With all the techno I learned I am so anxious to do a page for my library, and all the things to help otheras with their skills Wow! Just hope I got all, as I went to double check what I could and couldn't find the info! So hope all went well! Great Job to all who help with this! A great big thank you!

Wiki 23 things

I edited in Wikipedia, Wilmore kansas. It was really neat. My Edit: Wilmore has no paved streets, no stoplights, also only one stop sign, while supporting seven local businesses and also a post office and library. It was really neat to see it in print!Yea!

Shelfari/ week 14/ 23 things kansas

Just am so excited! Can't wait to create a blog for the Wilmore Library! Can see how shelfari could be so useful, also added my friend to it and we are already comparing book titles and reviews! So gggggggggrrrrrrrrreeeeaaat! All who reads my blog, give it a try!

Yea! I did it!!!!!!! That is so neat! I've seen it used for many other things, but this was neat! Next time I'm ready for a biggy post! Would be great posting to utube for an event, patrons could have questions about the library! Also when everything is cataloged at the library it would be fun to use to teach the patrons how to use the catalog! YYYYEEEEAAAA!!!!

rss feeds and google reader

I chose the google reader as it was the easiest to follow. My choices were CNN.com, KWCH headlines, and KWCH RSS Weather as well. I found this lesson very interesting. I am very excited about doing a blog for the library, and showing feeds, etc. All of the technology has been very interesting! So glad I enrolled in the 23 Kansas Things Technology. It has been a positive experience. Thanks all who have helped!

Workshop in Dodge City!

WOW! Was a fantastic workshop yesterday!Learned so much! Now I know how to use the information for my patrons and myself! Found information I didn't know was there. SO FANTASTIC! GREAT DAY! Education is such a wonderful thing!

Well if I just could get everything to load would be great! Have some good helpers tho! Will keep trying! Education at this old age takes a little! Brain function is slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! But, I clicked mu red shoe heels together, and asked Dorthy and TOTO to help! lol!

Face book and 23 things

Been working on my facebook today, was fun but also frustrating. I transferred from my son his video, and finally got it to work, my fault and then caught on, but pulled an album from my daughters facebook and it took and placed on mine her whole page, I only wanted the pictures. Also I've been practicing putting pictures on, and I put a bunch on the wall, but I wanted them in the albums. What did I do? HELP!

What a day!

Off for a busy day! Cleaning a hunters cabin this am, working at library this afternoon, and packing for car show tomorrow! Just wanted to check in, and am wishing all a wonderful Friday! Also hope everyone has a good weekend! Hugs to all!

What a thought! Libraries when we need HELP!

Hey gang! Was watching some news as I was doing laundry, and just a few minutes ago I heard a lady speaking of Haiti. There are 35 libraries in Haiti, and their group she represents, was hoping that some are able to get to the libraries, and they could use the internet to communicate to family as well as get help! I guess we should realize that, but we are so use to our own world, we don't think about our library system being world wide! What would we do in a disaster? Would we think of getting to surrounding libraries to get help? What a thought!?( THEY USE THE SKY FOR THEIR INTERNET!)

Our Military Children

I have children involved in the military. A friend just called, and her son is enroute the war front. I hope I was a support to her and hers. May we all keep our soldiers and there families in our hearts and mind. Our Soldiers give so much, as well as there little families give so much. So may times while the adsent parent is deployed the other mate has to continue to take charge, and raise the children and make so many decisions. All the while keeping the spirit for the family, waiting for the return. We can only hope it won't be long til their return. As well as what the soldier is going thru realizeing they can't be there when they are needed! What a tough situation!

Morning All!

Haiti in the news today! My heartfelt thoughts are with them all! Also to all of the helpers trying to get in. And the families of the people. This thought is with you!
With seeing some of the photos, can't help but think of some of the other disasters across the world, and of the disasters of terroism as well. Bless them all. Please give each a few minutes of silent thoughts for each today! Hugs to all!

Who would have dreamed to be a Mother of four plus, Grandmother of ten, having a wonderful
librarians job ( a dream come true!) and being married to a wonderful man, all at the age of fifty!
And its even better, achieving an education all at the same time. Thanks to my family, friends, co-workers, and 23 things Kansas. So excited! I did my first blog! Yay!
